Ok so I have been working on my armor for a few weeks now and am nearing completion and am ready to start on a weapon. I decided on the AR and was wondering, how do i strengthn the inside? Its going to be sealed so after I resin it....then what?

Cut the ar in half. Fiberglass the inside. Reattach sides. Use a small coat of resin to hide seam

or

Drill several holes in the piece after resin, then use a low impact expanding foam (great stuff) to fill the inside. Be careful great stuff expands at least twice the amount that is applied.

Please be sure to use the search function next time, for several topics have been posted along these lines.

Hope that helped.

Cheers!

Oh and welcome to the 405th!!!

or glue fiberglass cloth/mat to the inside of the AR as your peping when your finished cut a hole in the back then pour some resin down the hole

just a idea.

good luck! :D

Another way to go is resin the outside, drill a hole or two, and then slush-cast the inside with smoothcast or another urethane plastic.

I saw a few videos on the plastic method, that one sounds pretty good, but i want the weapon to have some weight, sprta realistic ya know? is the plastic very heavy?

Thanks for all the help you guys! and its great to be part of the 405th! ;D
