I read up on how to resin and now fully understand but i have no idea how to use fiberglass or what i should do with it. Do I just put it in the helmet then put resin on it?

there are two methods you can use for the fiberglass cloth/mat. the first is too put it in the helmet, soak your brush and pat the resin in the mat till it's soaked. premative, but it works. the second it having the resin all mixed and the fiberglass all cut to shape, and soak the mat/cloth in the resin and place it in to mold it into the folds. that is the preffered way. good luck

also its really hard to get Fiberglass to stay in place after you have cut it out and put it in the helmet and started resining it. what i like to do is cut out the peices, tacky glue some edges to keep the fiberglass in place, then resin. it works well for me.

Crackhead09 made a great video tutorial that helped me to make mine:

I would advise giving the piece an outer coating of JUST RESIN (not the cloth/mat/tissue stuff)

Also, if you find this hard, a helpful tip is to glue the fiberglass cloth/mat/tissue in with a bit of spray glue, and once dry, then brush resin over it.

WARNING: This will make the bristles on your brush VERY hard; harder than the handle on my brushes. You either need Acetone cleaner (I'm not sure of it's real name, but it says Acetone on the tin) or a lot of brushes.

Hope this helps :D

Crackhead's tutorial uses up a bit more resin than if you use the older method; however, it is supposed to provide better strength.

Resin goes on the outside

Fiberglass + Resin goes on the inside

hope that helps
