Stop hatin' on the Elites! John-117 would never have had a chance to go through the portal and save the galaxy in Halo 3 if the Elites had helped drive the Covenant off Earth in the first place. They didn't have to save earth, but they did. I think it was an olive branch to show their sorrow over what they did to humanity under the lies of the Prophets (read The Return in Halo Evolutions). Lets put the human-covenant war behind us and accept the Sangheili as friends!
