So my wife was able to make it to HOD, and she went in costume on Saturday.

At the end of the weekend she said that her favorite part was being in costume and helping with the 405th. So naturally, I am going to be making a Spartan for her next year along with myself. So I brought her into halo reach, and had her pick out her favorite. And this is what she picked!

I have a lot of work ahead of me, but I'm so excited!! Look forward to progress!

The wife sure has some good taste in armour accessories! Can't wait to see how it goes :)

I brought her to Halo Outpost Discovery, and she loved being in the marine costume! She isn't that familiar with the games, but she enjoyed hanging out with me and the 405th, and wanted a full costume for next time!

Can you get her to have a conversation with my wife?

I've got no chance w/ bringing the wife in on this.......doesn't understand it and wants no part in it.....I'm lucky when I can get her to drop off and pick me and the kids up at local cons!!!

Finished basic foam work on the helmet!
I first started by cutting out the patterns, and I found my favorite knife to cut with! Gave me clean edges!

Next I started on the foam work, starting with the jaw, and working my way up. Backwards to how I usually make helmets funny enough.

Next was the visor. Starting with a custom pattern for the edges! Also, I might try to redo the silver lines, the middle one is crooked.

In summary, I'm really pleased. This is my cleanest work yet, and my first time making one of my pieces with contact cement, and I'm very happy with the results! Next step today will be the details! I'm so excited!
