No I don't play. Used to play, WoW is old .... Conan is going to be where it's at, but honestly I don't know if I'll have time to play that either. Too busy working and going to college....realized I spent waaaay too much time playing MMO's online, only to accomplish ummm nothing lol. After a couple years a new game comes out and you start all over....then what? My old characters and all that time I put into them was a complete waste. Better to put my efforts into something more worthwhile that's going to actually provide some kind of return for my work.

Oh man, I'm glad to see there's someone in the same boat as me. I turned my hand to WoW, also spent like a year on MXO and SWG. My social life, and even my relationship with my soon to be wife suffered a little so I knew I had to give them up. Also, like Jax said It's just a waste of time. when you reach the top, all you can do is start again. lame.

I play occasionally now, I used to play WAY too much. I have a 70 Belf Pally, lvl 35 undead warrior and 20 troll shaman on Kilrogg, and a lvl 38 Nightelf warrior, a 28 human rouge and 28 Nightelf hunter on Scarlet Crusade.

I quote one of the highest rated episode of all time of Star Trek. This was in Deep Space Nine.

Sisko: I'm no writer, but if I were, it seems to me that I'd want to poke my head up once in a while and take a look around - see what's going on. It's life, Jake; you can miss it if you don't open your eyes.

Perfect example of why I honestly think MMO's are one of the worst things that have come out in the last well almost 15 years. Mainly because the people that play them (including me, but I don't play anymore), but I used to play them ALOT, and it became my entire life. All I cared about was making the highest level and getting the best gear.

At that point I was completely oblivious to everything else going on around the world. And frankly could have cared less what was going on in my own backyard. Life is too short to be spending ALL your time playing games. I still play games, just not MMOs. Besides if you get some armor there's always Live Action RPG's. I don't do them, but I've seen people that do. You actually interact with REAL people, not avatars, and actually have some human interaction. Not my thing, but could be for some.

I guess what I'm saying in the end is... life is too short to worry about getting up a cartoon character on a computer screen to level 70 and then doing it again all over when all Blizzard or any other company has to do is flip an off switch and all that work that I thought meant something is gone. Blizzard and their characters don't define who I am, I define who I am.

My girlfriend plays it. I cant ever get her off. :cautious:
That sounds like a personal problem.

(Sorry I had to!)

A agree. WoW was fun when I got to play it with my friends, but I had the brains to cancel my account and move on. They, however, still play to this day. Why, I have no idea...

cant say ive ever played.. i can never find a justification for the money spent per month...
Before I started playing I thought that paying money every month to play a game was stupid and pointless, I thought that it couldn't be that much better than games I would only pay for once... One of my friends gave me a free month of it....I haven't stopped playing since. ;-P

I used to play, Quit before the burning crusade. Played a 60 dwarf priest in a good raiding guild on malygos, full tier 2 and parts of 3.
