I was talking with a fellow 405th member out at the c2e2 show in Chicago about some of the difficulties I've been facing with my 3d printer and he was also suggesting that depending on where I live, having a bunch of guys bring their printers out and knocking out a suit in a span of a weekend. That would be amazing. Is that something you and other fellow member be willing to do? Hope to hear from you. Thanks
The Flood is coming…..
I’ve got the plaster on. Time to let it dry and see if I can start adding texture. Biggest set back was weight, I want this flood infection form to still be able to hop around and the slightest weight difference can set it off track. Let’s see what I can do in the next few days to remove some of the weight
Happy 405th day! Glad to be part of this squad of makers, gamers, and UNSC-approved creatives. Can’t wait to keep connecting, bonding, and building forward together!
Stilt reinforcement in progress! While I’m still working on the full tutorial for YouTube, here’s a look at how I’m reinforcing the structure. Six sturdy cardboard cylinders support the center, with foam lining to keep them upright and evenly spaced. This helps distribute weight more effectively while keeping the design lightweight. Stay tuned for the full breakdown!
Super excited to say I’ve built stilts that give me an extra 1ft 4 inches of height! I’ll put together a future YouTube video showing how I reinforced them. Now it time to start make the start bulking up the costume before the armor goes on. Wish me luck!
