Red has been added. Gotta wait another 24-36 hours before white paint application.

Both the left bicep and shoulder plate have been painted green. Still have more sanding to do on the bicep piece before final coat but it's getting there. Shoulder plate just requires, red, white, detail work and clearcoat

One more round of sanding then top coat for the left bicep. Left shoulder plate is still curing until Wednesday where it will be masked off then green, red, white, and titanium silver top coat will be applied over a period of 4 days allowing a day for each color to cure before the next layer is applied. All then followed by detail work, bonding the two pieces together, some more detail work, then clear coat.

Next step in the suit is Jorge's left shoulder plate. All bonded together, gap filled, sanded, and now filler primed. Now to fill in the remaining low spots and sand again.

Current state of Jorge. I unfortunately had a major set back with the helmet paint job with the clear coat that I applied blushing out across the whole surface turning it almost entirely white. Moral of the story, don't chance painting in humidity. Had to sand the whole thing and restart.

Getting ready to buy supplies. My plan is to use 5mm and 10mm EVA foam. I'm going to start with the Reach combat knife as a practice run so I can get used to working with EVA. Hoping to start the armor itself in mid to late March maybe early April
Working on Bringing Spartan 052, Jorge to life. Any help/suggestions are most welcome as this is my first cosplay ever and I'm going all in.
Still trying to get the scaling right- I'll make an actual thread once I can start printing parts!
Been a while since I posted because I haven't really had too much to share but a few months back I finally painted my M7S SMG by Odd Works.
It was left unpainted for about 6 months because I couldn't figure out how I wanted to do the painting, but then I just wanted to get it over with so this is just acrylics and brushes then 1 coat of glossy clear coat on the metal parts, and matte on the rubber parts.
