I got 28 1/2 inches w/o barrel, can someone confirm the actual size?



i have my M4 there for comparison

thanks man! so 28.5 inches sounds good for the body length then you have the barrel which will be about 8 inches

That is pretty accurate. I just went out to the shop and measured my original I made from the Wizardofflight's plans and it is 28 7/16" from the same points you used.

leekegan, id like to thank you for being my inspiration. I was about to do this with cardboard but i had carpenters working on the house and theyll be back tomorrow. So i was going ask if they could cut it for me, One of them noticed my odst helmet actually





one quick question, Would it be difficult to cut wood a inch and a half thick?

It matters on what you are cutting it with. A band saw, jig saw would work for the shape you are cutting, but most rip saw won't work to get the detail you need.
