What Armor should I use for chest piece?

I don't have pics yet but I can have them today... or have it as a suprise.

Got pics of armor now. Don't know if I should post it or keep it for a surprise.
 
Ok well here it is, completly free scratch and free styled. Top 2 is chest: front+inside, middle 2 back: front+inside, and then...RIGHT ARM SHIELD! front+inside.

wow! looks great! ive heard that cardboard is notoriously hard to work with, but you sir have pulled it off! COOKIEZ FOR YOU!!!!

Looking good. Have you finally figured out what you are going to top coat it with? Elmer's makes a non-toxic spakle which has "polymer beads" to resist cracking, might want to check it out.
 
I am going to use elmers glue and paper mache the armor to keep the overlapping cardboard peices. Just to give it a good armor look
 
Heavy update

Havn't updated in a while since school has started but made another SMG, Reach-like shoulders, upgraded my scout shoulders in to heavy scout shoulders? Here are some pics.

Now trying to scratch build a Mark V b chest... not going too well. Any suggestions?
