Sucks for me =/... I got the "Google installer has encountered an issue...etc" malware, and it makes mcafee give me a blue screen of death when scanning it. Also it makes all the links to normal websites on google search go to some random site. Like Malware protection, etc... I need to locate it and destroy it, so im running mcafee search, and search and destroy.

I've said it before, wrap it before you slap it. Oh, you mean your computer.

Adam that was pure genius! xD

if I we're you I'd use another computer to find the details on how to wipe the thing manually, there's never going to be anything that will find all the registry keys it uses.

Good luck in a weeks worth of searching and destroying (see what I did there? ;D)

If all else fails, back up your files and re-install your OS.

Good luck,

Your Niece looking at porn!? Haha! That's certainly different! :lol

On another note the program sounds like it could work, just google'd it.

Give it a go ;D

Proof it's not just guys that do it.

Anyway. At least yours is salvageable. My comp got screwed a few weeks ago and I had to buy another motherboard. Dam viruses (around 10 in like 15 mins) killed my rom chip :angry . And it wasn't from looking at the internet either. It was a personal thing. I think I really pissed someone off.

Hope you sort it out easily.

mine had that issue a while ago, we wiped it and just put in a new OS

but maleware is good too

if you are going to wipe it, grab ya a thumb drive and put the stuff u wanna keep on it, and scan it before you sopoy it onto the new comp

Lol, nice one adam XD. But yea, im getting the malwarebytes thing...i'll have it run after i get my ODST files downloaded.

If the previously mentioned program doesn't work, open Task Manager and look for processes that sound similar to antivirus/malware but you are unfamiliar with. Once you find one, end it and search for it in the WINDOWS folder.

Alternatively, check your web browser add-ons for any suspicious installments that may be causing this problem.

Had that happen over a year ago, burned an updated copy of AVG 3.0 from my lap top and loaded it to my desktop. 20 mins later all was good.
