Really? So I went out for a walk around at an outdoor mall, and I got kicked out for having "a mask on." Security had to come and escort me back to my car. Not exactly the night I was hoping for.

Absolutely, because there have been too many robberies made by Master Chief impersonators! I remember seeing somewhere one attempted to steal a game or something from some random game store.... You should have asked security if they had an application for a job! Loving the pictures.

Makes me think... If I remember correctly, they wanted to pass a law about this a while back. I should look into that.

Nice work. you're suit looks great. I'll add one bit of advise tho, you should brush on you're first coat of smooth cast it fills the holes real nice. Just pick up a few pack of brushes from the $1.00 store. I'm only saying this because if my guess is right you got the bug and will be making something else soon. (this is how I got around all the leaks on mine. And I went thru a whole lot of brushes and cups because 10 min. just isn't enuff time for much.)

Thanks. There's a lot of things I wish I had done better (like finishing sanding the chest piece), but all in all, I'm happy with the way it turned out.

That would be interesting to try....but Smooth Cast hardens VERY fast, and that could cause problems.

Obviously, this project is yet to be completed. I still have the boots to take care of. I think this time, i have a mounting idea that should work. On that note, i have the boots built and hardened. I kind of went nuts with the camera. I was trying to figure out how to take good pictures with it, and I think I have it partially figured out. I just need to get a better camera. My crap and shoot isn't cutting it.

This isn't the final painting step. I just wanted to see how they would look painted.

Haha great photos! About the ski resort, costume contest, the others didn't stand a chance! Love how your suit turned out: well proportioned, good paint job, etc.

Also love the new photos, especially the one of you scratching your head reading the Reach book! Kind of an unusual question, but how does it feel to wear the suit out in public without an occasion (i.e. no Halloween or a game launch event). I feel that I'll want to wear my suit when it's finished a lot to make all the time and effort worth it, but I can't see msyelf just wearing it for no particular event.

Im making the mk VI as well and im planning on going out clubbing in it should get lots of attention from the ladies (luckily I wont have any problems getting in as im one of the doormen lol) will do this once and then its time to send it off to the guy im building it for.

dude loving the mark 6 its really nice seeing people build theres makes me want to make another one but i still got the hd one i did As well but im seling that one hehe but im going to ether build a space marine or a new HD mark 6 cause i wanted to build mine from the game ..... got to think about it
