I’ve got a rubber one that adds a nice bit of detail, but it’s just around my neck. Going further will definitely add to the heat as mentioned above. BUT if you can add fans inside your back to the vents that most Spartans have, it’ll help significantly.

Also your design does look awesome, good luck in your build!

Going to be hot as F!

I did this carbon fiber one, along the lines of the TV series. Its no where near as extensive as what you've got going there and it still made a notable rise in captured body heat.

yeah the one i have now it get hot but i have gotten use to it but i am trying to make it so the hex pattern on it will have hole to let out the heat im hoping.

yeah i will hope to take the hex pattern on it and make holes there to let out heat if not i will work on a way to get the heat down..

Nice model - where'd you get it from, or if you made it, what program did you use?

I'm also curious as to how you'll put it on yourself - will you have a zipper at the back?

It is my own design a buddy is teaching me how to do models he has to clean it up for me. But I plan on making it have a Velcro up at the top so I have room in the neck to get my big head through. As far as a program he is showing me how to use zbrush and fuson360

Ok here is where I have to start cleaning and prep of this neck part the purple you see is a body filler still got a long way to go. Then I will make a mold and cat it as light weight as possible there will be spots for air to get through I hope this will a wip

There's some good potential there. I need to learn to make molds and do casting. I'd eventually like to make my arm seals out of something flexible other than a TPU print.

Looks great! :D I'm a little confused however, are you going to print it out? Or is it just what its going to look like but made of something else?

This looks great! Do you have a tutorial/thread somewhere so I can do something alike? If you're okay with that of course.

I will be starting the process here soon and will record it and I will try to write up a tut for those who want to try to do some thing like it. No problem with sharing that's what we are all here for.

Looking good! While it'll be a bit warm, it will add a really nice touch to your build. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

I'm following your lead on this one. I think it's a dope design especially for walking the con floor without your helmet on. I plan on putting/glueing EVA foam to fabric (with a ziber up the back of the neck). Hoping that will give me the shape that rigidity and sweet shape you made.

I have one more coat of silicone then the mother mold on the out side and I will be ready to make neck seals by the way I cut them down on this run, so the body don't get so hot. Here are some pictures of the progress.

Looking good!

Are you planning on opening up any runs for people to buy? I would probably be interested if you do!

I would love something like this, but alas i have a thick neck and these normally dont fit me unless I do them myself ):
