Resin Question

RITE so my grillfriend told me that resin will eat through a polystyrene cup, indicating that I shouldn't coat a polystyrene anything with resin. Does it have the same effect on foam (like expanding foam you get from a can) and is there anything else that I shouldn't apply resin to?

I think I remember someone doing this test and it pretty much destroyed the foam... Might've been Ithica... I'll have a look for the video

Resin will melt through plastic if left uncured for a while. I've been using the same tray to hold my resin for a long while. one morning I went out to start working only to find my work area had a nice coat of resin on it where it melted through the tray (also a mouse tracked the resin until it got stuck, yuck).

id have to disagree, Portions of my helmet were polystyrene and its still looks fine. Then again it did cure within 2 hours
