Oh wow, everyones being so kind as always!! Im always a little overwhelmed (good though) when I see a bunch of responses in the thread after I take a night off to work away on armour!
Firstly,
Halex, thank you
I've been given a small bunch of exercises to strengthen my core muscles but unlike my old treatments, this is quite reasonable and not too intensive. Im a strong believer in the idea that this sort of treatment is best in small doses to start off. My former therapist gave me tonnes and tonnes of things to do and it just got overwhelming, to climb a mountain, sometimes you have to start scaling up small hills, thats what I think anyway! So I have a much more positive outlook this time in my personal opinion!!! And I will certainly keep this up
Tiger, I'm always up for more bass haha but for those fans of my thread who are waiting for more tunez! Have some Baretta, Im working on a cover of this, can play it all now, but just need to "refine" it so I sound nicer and more fluid when I play, its one thing to learn a song and play it, its another thing to know the song, and really express it while you play!
Plus ... deadly bass solo!! Probably one of the faster bass parts I've learned so far since I started playing!
Remind me next time Im here to post a real good song by VAMPS!
@Austyn, Hi Rune!
Pleased to meet you! Another friendly face (of visor if suited up haha) is great to see here
People really think I'm seriously ill or was, but please, don't worry so much for me! I had/have? weaker joints than a "normal" person but I was/am by no means severly enough affected to be in any immediate danger
But thank you so much everyone for your constant support and concern! It really means a lot to me.
Just to clear any confusion, check out the wiki (its not the best but theres very little info out there on this condition)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ehlers_danlos_syndrome
I would almost fall into the type 3 category, Hypermobility, and on a scale of 0-9, the Rheumatologist said I would only be a 2 or 3 on the beigton criteria which is very reassuring after not knowing for years how bad I was
2 years ago my body was so weak that my shoulders and knees and fingers were prone to dislocate or misalign which was painful and really limited my abilities. At my worst I had to use crutches to walk for a few days because my spine was so sore after my hips misaligned and my legs went numb. But since I've been made aware of the condition and started to work on building strong muscles and ligaments to support the bad joints, I can go back to a normal life ... Though the therapist said I will probably never be able to learn Kung-Fu, in a few months I may be able to go cycling again and do pretty much anything in life although I have to be more careful because I am just a little more prone to serious injury
That aside, I've been reassured that as long as I am aware of my limitations, there is absolutely nothing to stop me being as normal as my friends who don't have bendy joints.
Anyway illness aside!!! Awesome to have another bassist around the site to talk to!! We could form a bass Quartet if we find another haha!
Hi Sonny, thanks so much for your kind words, I am sorry to hear you are so ill, but I am sure you will knock out pancreatic cancer like Chuck Norris knocks out ANYBODY with a roundhouse kick!!! So stay strong!! Like I think I mentioned earlier, I have a friend with Leukemia who has been in hospital for a long time (Roughly half a year) but he's fighting fit, if I didn't know he had such a serious condition, I would have never guessed! The thing about cancer now is that we don't have to be as afraid now, at least, I think so, more and more people are showing cancer who's boss, when you think back to 10 years ago, there are people who had no hope then but if they were ill now, there is so much more we can do!
I'm seriously flattered you call me a hero, but I'm no more, no no less a Hero than anybody else. We're all human, we all fight through each done, sometimes its tough, sometimes its great, we just keep going. Stay strong Spartan Sonny!!!!
I'l put up finished pictures of the left forearm once its finished, its cut folded and half-pepped so should be up by the weekend ;D I have a media seminar today and then early start tomorrow morning for 2 hours practical work in the digital media studio off campus, then 3 hours of computer science labs ... So LOTS TO DO
haha
Ill see you all again soon
Awh the heck, here I'll post VAMPS now, this is Devil Side, a bloody fun song that I like, but be warned, dont watch the PV if there are small children/minors in the room ... its actually pretty ...
just dont do it xD
Hide's english is actually pretty clear, its funny how good some JRockers are at pronouncing english words while others *cough Ruki and Uruha cough jk* can be so unintelligible!
