This is a detailed build thread for my Halo: UNSC Marine Cosplay. This all started with the formation of the Space Force  after I left the USMC... Queue sad violin. So I set out to make a Halo Marine Cosplay as if I joined the UNSC around the time of the Human Covenant War.
My inspiration has been largely drawn from the H3 and H3:ODST Marine as I feel like they were stylistically the compromise between Futuristic Tactical of CE and NeoModern Tactical of H4+.
I worked closely with D3ltA_Studios to get a high quality 3D Print of a Halo 3 Marine. Once the parts arrived via mail, I applied 2-5 coats of high build automotive primer on the raw print. For the CH252, I decided to cannibalize a bike helmet and fit it inside the 3d print like a shell.

I then used nylon webbing and Velcro bands to secure the armor pieces to a modified airsoft plate carrier and an old battle belt I had from the Corps for the lower portions.

I decided to use EVA Foam to create any filigree or embossing I wanted, namely Rank Insignia. I resin filled the breast plate for a nice weight to balance out how heavy the back of the vest is. I then anchored an elastic loop for the abdominal armor strap.
I just finished adding the circumference straps to the leg armor. Next Post will be a full mock up before Putty and Paint.
