long story short.
been a 2 years.(first one was almost done and then found out i wouldnt have a single person to go to halloween with... not even my kids. so i scrapped it. didnt look great neway.) and this year i am gonna have 1 of my daughters. so i had to make it again.

all photos taken from my blackberry.(so srry if the quality isnt great) on pics that seam smaller its cause its zoomed in.(didnt know it would make the pic smaller in size)

i like the look of the lines. no bondowing the outside for me on this one...

trying on helm after resined

the visor made it look like i was to close to a frag blast.
would of left it if it wasnt like this on the inside

IMG00071-20100928-1725.jpg

worked on the chest piece while i waited on homedepot to restock there plastics...(not many pics of it phone charging port is acting up and it charges when it wants to...)

realized i didnt have much left so i got back on the helm...

bought a piece of what looked like clear plastic that was anti glare... cut it to size pealed one side tinted it molded it then pealed the other side and was like WTF its so blurry... so i went back to home depot. returned the other piece i bought. and picked this up(looks blurry but its crystal clear.)

IMG00079-20100929-1021.jpg

cut it inhalf, trimmed the edges, tinted applied heat from heatgun and didnt do it long enough and snapped it. remade it and let the heat gun sit for like 10 min and then i put it in.

IMG00083-20100929-1214.jpg

hotglued the entire thing in. didnt like the looks of it being gapped...then didnt like the look of the hotglue so i painted the hotglue

nice work !
i wouldn't have painted it white , but suprisingly , the white looks good with the small area's painted black , that really was a good idea
a shame that the plastic snapped at the first time though , but you fixed it :D

^^^TY both it took forever

but as u can see in the pics even my bb is white/lil black(been on a white kick painting my car white too...)

i just wish i was better at painting for the weathered look... my cuz said he could help with it(he took autobody repair for 5 years but i dont have anymore mulah for paint supply's. he wants to redo everything with a airbrush...). the parts of black was a idea instead of painting everything a diff color. it was a i want it white but not that white attempt... i took my time building it.(atleast 20hours in the helm alone) cant wait till halloween now... was gonna try my luck with a wep but i have no black ink... and for some reason pep wont print in blue/green/red... without black ink. but i got a licensed copy of pep now so i can atleast save...

but the reason no boots/gloves is no money. gonna rock a pair of sandles and automech gloves.(i have a white pair thats a lil greassy but will do fine)

^ty ty...

just take ur time. it took me 2 years to get this far. i cant take cred for the pep files... but i did everything else on the days i didnt have my kids here....

the pics are with the suit just sitting there...(plus me holding it on in some places... havent made a way to attach it yet)

Nice work man!! Hey saw you painted your hot glue visor gap on your helmet. What I did was use black silacone to fill the gap and smoothed it out by swiping it with a gloved finger. Made it look prety nice. I like the white paint job on your armor too!!

Fantastic work man. It looks great. I'd only reccomend maybe a couple different paint layers etc to really bring out the work you did to pep and fold all that CHEIF-NESS = D

ty ty... i was gonna use silacone. but i wanted the removable in a way...(heatgun for a few seconds or so and it will fall right out) i have been thinking about smoothing it out... but i am no were near home atm(1600miles away) and i wanna get my shotgun done...

^^^ i suck at painting... my reach armor ima go all out on(gonna spend 2 years doing it...)

looks epic, better than I could do right now... Thumbs up...

the only dislike about it is that your visor isn't bulbous...
or saying it in a different way, it's part of a cylinder, instead of a sphere (like the in-game version)
but that's probably the hardest part, because of all the mk VI, I have seen only a few with that.

But it looks seriously mind-blowing, I hope to see more work of you, because you look pretty talented.

oh yeah... if you wan't to paint it, then just start to practice, cause practice makes perfect! :D

pretty good job! are you going to put bondo over it? we are the same! we finished our armor pretty much at the same time!

i made my own visor because of money. i am a stay at home parent. no job... atm we have to drive 3000 miles a month and have for the past year and a half...(no spare moneyz for this so i made it on the UBER CHEAP!) i am not bondoing. i like how it looks all jaggedy... 8bit lover...

motorcycle helmets ate 30 a piece. i was sapose to be able to get 2 visors out of the piece i bought(so i could do the dubble layer thing... but it broke)on my HD suit ima start making(after this halloween) i am gonna make the visor like i did this time but ima shape it more.(stick it in the oven for 3-5 min at 200 deg.) that way i can get the double bubble. when i do go molding it. i am gonna make a visor to melt it on when i put the pieces in the oven.

my tinting skill sucks. its actual tint. it would be best to youtube how to tint.(better then i can discribe.) but i got it out of my dads backyard.(leftovers from work) he got it at home depot. if the light is equal on both sides its light blue. darken one side and the other side gets a mirror finish.

it is plexiglass.

Ty ty I tryed... Just a newb who is good with paper. When I started this I had very little fiberglass exp. Slim bondo... I had art for many years. Still can't paint well. Did clay work for 2 years. Was one of the best in my 3d class. Just painting sucks. Drawling was the worst at tho. Painting there was a kidere that doninated paint betterr then anything I have seen. And I have went to paris to see the disapointing monalisa...

Dude, that...looks... AWESOME.
