WIP: Full set of Halo 3 variant helmets

Started on this a little while ago and I feel I've gotten far enough to post some progress pics. Christmas will probably result in a little break then I can buy new filler and start smoothing them all out.

The Recon and CQB are fiberglassed but the rest have been Rondoed instead (except the hayabusa which is currently just pepped)

Lots of work to go! I'll try to keep updated with the WIP though. Currently I'm redoing Securioty as my first go warped hideously when rondoing.

Great work thus far. Your pepakura work looks very clean and smooth - a technique I have yet to master. Looking for ward to see the completed set.

@Beaver thanks, I just take my time and try to get everything lined up carefully. On the long curves I tend not to fold but rather curve the card as it gives a nice smooth shape

@Vshore thanks! Am adding a little more detail to the CQB at the moment before further sanding as well as slowly re-doing the Security

That's the best H3 EVA I've seen. Do you or your friend plan on releasing the pep?

And yes it is planned to release the file once I've got mine built, I'll then post up the files for others to use / re-unfold.

It's technically based on the Weta interpretation of the helm so some minor differences to the in-game one.

That's my initial unfold done now, 255 parts over 22 pages is going to be a nightmare build

Thanks, hoping I can do it justice when I get card to build it! At the moment I'm keeping the files between me and the modeller as part of the deal for getting it done, but as soon as the first ones fully built I'll make a thread to release the files for anyone to have a go at
