Halo 3 version ODST/ original character.....

well i was bored and i did say i would have a update today well i have the backs for both shins done now and tomorrow after i do my damn PRT for the navy on my day off i may start working on the front of the shins but here is the pix for the shins...

He's currently working on the front shins right now but he should have one of them done by tomorrow or maybe both so he will post pix
 
ok well like i said i would have the first front done today and well lets see here it is an dman they are a pain to make. right now its taped up and i hit it with the heat gun to make it take its shape.....

There will be I will make sure of it, but I also cannot wait til he's done. Everything looks so good piece by piece but seeing it all together will be amazing. Then he can help me with my stuff lol
 
This is his first suit of his, last year he helped me with my Oni Operative, but this year I'm doing the ME2 N7 armor and he's helping with using the heat gun to form the foam
 
Well I'm glad you bring such promise to this build. :) Can't wait for the updates... Oh and yeah... The shins suck. :p
 
well as i have said here is todays update........ both shins are built. i have gone thru and set up the straps for them cut the slits. and now i have painted them r most of the way tomorrow they will be all done even with the straps......

now this is an idea i have wanted to try for a while.
have you ever though about filling the pieces with expanding foam, and then strapping the round your leg while they set, so that one it has hardened it is a perfect fit to you, so that it dosent rattle about?
 
ok well started building the belt and yes i know its facing the wrong way but a little late for that........ and the shins are built and painted. and i have curved the thighs now all i have to do is make the inner thing for the thighs and work on mounting plus the gauntlet.......

SOOOOO SICK! looks amazing man!!! I just finished my helmet so I've been taking a break from my project but seeing your progress makes me want to get right back on it! Those thighs look amazing btw I'm sure you'll hear from me when I get that far haha. Anyway its looking great man keep up the great work!!!!!
 
ooooh. the level of jealousy is starting to creep up!
that armour seems to fit you prettu snug, and i love the paintjob on the thighs.
im also planning on creating the origonal Halo 3 odst's, the ones with the paintjob like yours. and the idea of having the shin in two pieces is an idea i might nick.
also, how did you get the patterns for the thighs, did you spray it dark grey, and then airbrush on the camouflage?
and good to see that other people like mars attacks XD
