Midwest Crafting & Repair Meet-up for Ohio and surrounding States

My work schedule is all over the place so I won't vote, but if a date is decided and I'm not traveling I'd make an effort to participate. Kind of you to offer your place! I'm with Fido over near Cedar Point, we could make it work for sure.

TORG Gaming Expo Info and Roll Call: November 1st, 2024 - November 3rd, 2024 (Columbus, Ohio)

To confirm, the only convention center connected hotel option with a discounted rate is the Hyatt Regency and no discounted rate for the connected Hilton Columbus Downtown hotel. That suited up Halo LAN sounds like fun! This is looking to be really exciting!

Props Needler Multimedia Arduino-Driven Animated Airsoft Prop (Everything the Neca Needler Could Have Been)

This is amazing, watching the videos is one thing but going through and reading each post? Icing on the cake! So cool to see the development with the needle retraction setup. Great detail and explanations Redshirt! Can't wait to eventually talk with and see you on the field with this. Much...

    Halo 3 ODST build

One option is Sean Bradely kits over on Etsy, they're cost effective (comparatively speaking) good looking ODST armor kits. With that said work and time will still need to be applied to finish the kit. There's trimming, sizing, assembly, rigging, and painting. Link: SeanBradleyStudio - Etsy...

Agent Washington — First Build !!

That is looking awesome! Great progress! Good luck with that torso, you'll find what works and what doesn't after a day at the con without a doubt. Excited to see the final result. (y)

Embarking on my first build: MK VII!

For glue I’ve used CA glue with activator, also in my limited experience, super glue / gorilla glue with activator. Easier with two people, one to handle glue and spray while the other handles the prints. Another method of adhesion with glue could be 3d print welding. I’m thinking of the kind...

    Fred 104 build

I agree that attaching the wrap to the chest would be an issue for transport. I also believe you will have more issues with movement as well as the appearance as you move potentially shifting as you walk? In my head anyway I think it would. I would have it as its own if you can work it or skin...

Agent Washington — First Build !!

I had painted my ODST helm the night or two before Galaxycon last year in a cold spot. I had kept the helmet in the heated house with the can also near the vent with heat coming out. So essentially keep the helmet and can warm / above 50 degrees, moving to the spot to be painted, then give it a...

    405th Day Games - MCC and Infinite Open Lobbies - April 5th, 2024 through April 6th, 2024

Last few game nights I've been able to hop on have been a blast. If the lobbies are open to those without their 50 posts, I'll join in. Close but not there yet.

    ValkyDesigns Veronica Dare Build Log

An awesome explanation video. As I’m learning different sewing things, this’ll help to look back on.

Hello! My first build thread - ODST

Whoa! That is some amazing looking thigh inserts. Clean too! I'm jealous, good idea to cut them out that way. Love the backpack too! I attempted to print my main top compartment as one piece and failed 67% of the way through on my CR10s Pro V2 so that'll be getting split up and sent on the Bambu...

    ValkyDesigns Veronica Dare Build Log

Oh please do film if you can, as a visual learner that would be spectacular to see! Beautiful work! I have to hand sew for the first time my Sean Bradley gloves and ODST foam shoulders. Eventually an ab wrap as well, love the explanation in the last post as well! Great documentation of the...

Splitting a 3d print file for helmet.

PrusaSlicer also has a cut feature that will let you split your files. I use to use Cura but swapped over maybe late last year with my CR10S Pro V2. Attached are some pictures of me using the cut feature. I demonstrate this by loading in a helmet too big for the print area. I slice it in half...
