There were a lot of intricate small pieces for the locus mask that im working on. It just takes patience. If you are daring, I would give super glue a shot. If you do one tab at a time, the super glue holds the pieces in place very well, which makes putting the other tabs in place easy. Super...
Is your problem that there are too many small pieces? or that cutting them out and placing them on is too difficult/ time consuming? I just finished my recon mask so hopefully I can help.

depends. If you just want a helmet prop to keep on your desk, fiber glass and resin would do the trick. If you want actual armor that you will wear and go outside with, i'd also bondo it. Check this guy out, his videos go over everything. He is a legend:
you should look up "rare earth magnets" on Amazon. They are small and powerful magnets with a degree of strength. some can break your hand if you put two on both sides ( i dont think you want them that strong :] ) and some are just powerful enough to fold a gun prop to your thigh without it...
