magnetic attachment of armor pieces to under suit and other pieces-concept discussion

I had planned on using RE Magnets to make my suit modular. I planned on adding a couple to the forearm (tac/uplink, ugps, carter attachment) and am currently looking into the feasibility of creating the standard noble 6 chest and simply attaching pieces to change it into the other styles (a lot...

any idea what i did wrong?

That looks much better! There may be some minor warpage, but it's to be expected. We are after all trying to make rounded shapes with a flat medium, but warpage like that can be fixed in the bondoing step. I say keep going, looks good!

Props Nerf Halo Reach: Sniper Rifle

I've also been trying to figure this out myself, from what I can see it almost looks like he took the reinforcement bars out of one of those cheap dollar store kites (the little plastic tube ones), cut them to allow for bending, and wrap the two pieces in a flexible sleeve (plastic tubing...

First Build: Custom Halo: REACH Spartan III.

UPDATE: 10/31 Well I appear to be getting this whole Pepakura thing down. I powered through that other boot toe in about 5 hours, and I think it turned out pretty good! So it looks like I'll be moving on to bigger and better things soon! Pictures:

First Build: Custom Halo: REACH Spartan III.

UPDATE: 10/30 Progress has been slow-moving, due to work, and me slicing a nice gash into my palm. I pepped a Toe, I figured it would be simple, and I was somewhat wrong, as getting the whole thing to fold and contour right was a P.I.T.A. but I digress. PICTURE TIME!

    How to measure Bicep pieces

I have not actually made my bicep armor yet, but my measuring method would probably work best. Take an actual tape measure (the one most commonly used to tailor make suits, not the self-retracting ones), and wrap it around the thickest part of your bicep. While holding the tape, move your arm in...

That was actually vshore100 who suggested that method, and although I do use it, I can't take credit for something I didn't suggest. It does work though, just make sure you're using a LOW heat glue gun, HIGH heat could scorch your pep.

Definitely, the Helmet is (arguably) the most complex piece, I plan to save it for last, when I feel comfortable enough with my work. Glad I could help out.

    Halo Reach EVA

Although it may seem like much, making a vac-form table is reeeeeeeally easy. 2-3 2x4x8(or 10), a small sheet of pegboard... and I think that's it. Not to mention you could either A. Sell it? B. Depending on how awesome they end up, make several and sell them. C. Make more helmets, you never...

    Halo Reach EVA

You can home vac-form a visor, all you need is an Oven, some wood, a mold, and a shop vac. There's a good video by one of our members (Ben I believe is his name, not sure of his Handle)

halo combat evolved remake?? should it be attempted?

The only way this would work, and work well, is if all they did was port the code into the new engine. Possibly include live co-op, but no, I mean absolutely NO online Multiplayer. Why you ask? It would destroy the Halo MP community, think about it, if ODST would have had a MP ability, then...

It's not easy work, especially starting out, I made my first piece a shoulder add-on (the CQC Shoulder to be precise) and I think I'm going to redo it, it looks lopsided to me. But after making a couple simple pieces (Knife, Toe, and ankle armor) I have a little better grasp on how pep works...

So I wanted a really cheap Ghost...

Aww you put speakers in it? I would just ride it around yelling "WaaAAAAAaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAA PSSSSH WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

    so are we nerds?

Who cares what they call us, I'd like to see them do any better at this.

First attempt - custom Noble Six(F)

Looks awesome! Coming from someone else who just started, your folds and peps look clean and precise. I can't wait to see your finished products! I'm the opposite of WVISION, I have the ankle armor but can't find the toe, is that an all-in-one or two pieces? The ankle armor I got from the...
