I would recommend gloves that can handle heat well, and a mask is a great idea even if PLA is non toxic. I work with soldering a lot where I work, and I use dedicated filtered vacuum systems take care of the toxic lead solder smoke.

I understand now. I could do it with this, but I’d have to sand excess, so I’ll see what is best. I have small clamps to hold parts together. Assuming they’re flat on both sides.

I remember Harri51 also mentioning JB weld so I will check that out because I do have some readily available. How do you mean? If you use super glue, how do you reinforce the inside with the epoxy? Like the edges with the super glue, then fill the inside of the line of super glue?

So I was able to complete the rest of the prints between yesterday and today while at work. Printed the barrel, slide, suppressor, laser, magazine release and magazine, and orange add on (which needs to be painted obviously. next will be sanding, shaping and then adhering and painting.

Ahh I understand. Definitely don't want the children getting access to a 3D printer. Not only damaging your print, but they can hurt themselves on the hot parts. Gotta make due with what you can (not saying foam is wrong lol). You're doing a great job!

I’m not sure how much room you have, but they really don’t take up a lot of room. I put mine in a dedicated spot on my desk. It takes up roughly 1.5sqft and stands about 29in tall. Just letting you know for future info in case you decide on getting one!

That’s the one I’m using. It’s a good entry printer to get into 3D printing. Are there better ones? Of course, but out of the box it’s a decent printer, but in my opinion needs a few upgrades to really take it to the next level. What surprised me are the costs of upgrades. Many can be printed...
