What Happened To The Official 405th Ship Thread

haha I had the same problem last night and it was killing me! In the blue bar containing the tread title hit the "Options" button. If you go under the display modes section you can change the way the thread is displayed. It is probably set to outline, and the normal view is "standard". BTW the...

New Member First Projects Update (3/23)

Man, your work is very nice. I love that foot seal, really adds to the look. You did a very nice job on the toe. That is one heck of a paint job.

    Very First Attempt At Pep

Sorry. Well I know tacky glue is sold at Micheal's and other major craft chains. It is also sold at walmart here in the states. Scrap booking stores tend to carry good glues for this sort of thing. A lot of this stuff is learn as you go and see what works for you. Honestly I'm simply amazed you...

    Very First Attempt At Pep

Honestly I don't like hot glue. I don't like white glue all that much. I would recommend using tacky glue and "fast grab" tacky glue. They have a lot more grab then regular white glue and they dry much faster.

    Very First Attempt At Pep

Paper craft is one of my big hobbies, and I hate to say it, It is very different. But to quote hitchhiker's guide "Don't Panic" it should be easier to do it in card-stock then paper. It's very impressive that you don't major warp-age since you're just using simple paper. That is quite a...

    Very First Attempt At Pep

A very clean first try. It looks like you could use some time around the eyes. Just a heads up working with good cardstock is significantly different than work in plain paper. Overall a very good and well made first try (wished my first paper craft was so clean!).

I would just like to say thanks for opening up the registration. My Mark Vi Armor Wip

Thanks for all the comments. The circle in now complete and my brain bucket is done. It's a tight fit even with lots of trimming, but never the less it is now done. I'm probably gonna resin it tomorrow night, a second coat tuesday, and a fiberglass and bondo it Wednesday. Once the smoothing is...

    My Mark Vi Armor Wip

Thank you for all your nice comments. Thanks for pointing out that it should fit like a motor-cross helmet, it looks exactly like one now that I look at it. Well I've finished up the rear bulge of my helmet now that I have confirmed that it would fit by building the size tests (which is...

    My Mark Vi Armor Wip

Yeah, thanks about the el wire, I've seen that, but I only want it for night use, kinda like running lights on a ship. But is that is how the sizer is supposed to fit?

    My Mark Vi Armor Wip

Once again thanks for all the nice comments, also thank you Ph4de for the link to the sig generator. Well I've been building my helm and I thought it started looking a little small so I made a sizer to the same scale. I really had to trim the neck opening to fit my head, is that normal...

    My Mark Vi Armor Wip

First off, thank you all for your comments. Also, pooper your armor is simply superb, I love the clean lines of it. I got about 45-60min of work in tonight on my helmet. I now have pretty much all of the "baseball cap" part of the helmet done. I am planning to light up my helmet using...

    My Mark Vi Armor Wip

Yesterday I started on the Helmet, I've gotten about 3 hours work in on it. I should note that I am actually a paper modeler to begin with, so I've got experience with this sort of stuff already, but I must say this Halo armor is very fun! First off, here is what I use as a paper modeler...
