FIrst Real Build. Captain James Sierra-247 (Pic Intensive)

UPDATE: It's crunch time people. Gloves are done, EVERYTHING IS CUT OUT! WOO! Started assembling the scout shoulder. Its such an interesting shape! Hopefully I can finish assembling everything tomorrow, so I can spend my day off Tuesday painting, and then letting it dry Wednesday. Thursday is...

UPDATE: Due to time constraints I have no way of getting a decent undersuit together, along with a secure means of attaching the armor to myself. So I decided to modify my build and go as more of a "Tactical ODST" than a Spartan. I pulled out my airsoft chest rig, stripped it down as much as I...

Bet you guys weren't expecting an update from me! I've got a small update :D The other half of the backpack is finally cut out. I put aside my helmet because I'm trying to get this wearable by next Friday for Anime Midwest, and I technically already have a helmet. Next came the boots. Both are...

Thanks! I imagine this would work pretty terribly on the torso armor, especially since you have a gun blocking most of it moat of the time. And even with the arms the angle isn't perfect and the scaling isn't quite right, but its a good enough start with how forgiving foam is

The nice thing about having a decent sized TV in combination with theater mode, you can get some decent ortho views of an armor piece with fairly accurate scaling. Now to come up with the patterns for it.... P. S. Yes, I know I have tiny arms/wrists. My bicep only has an 11" circumference xD

Sort of an update: mainly me playing around with color schemes and weathering on my old/testing shoulder. I tried sealing it with Rustoleum Peel Coat Wheel Paint. I don't recommend it. Most of this past weekend went into finishing up a Captain America shield for a friend.

Hey guys, rather than waste space with a new thread (also because this pertains to this build) I need some electrical help. If someone with some LED savvy could pm me that would be great Edit: Resolved.

I am definitely interested in going to this.

I was still concerned about the scaling of the helmet, so I grabbed my trusty roll of max strength duct tape and did a very rough and lopsided assembly of my bucket to get a better understanding of it. Good news, its a match! Can even get my glasses through in there. So, its been awhile so here...

Got some details burned out and started gluing the dome, but my brush broke so I am finished for the night. I need to get myself a glue pot.

I was thinking about using one of the big flat popsicle sticks, but I suppose it depends on the size of the knife. I don't want it to be too rigid though for safety.

Lol sounds like there is a story to that. This is actually my first time working with it and I have to say I like it so far. I think I am going to make the combat knife out of it.

Forgot to mention, the black thinner craft foam I got at Hobby lobby. The 2mm was .89 cents and the 6mm was $ 1.29
