I'm at the point I need to resin parts and round edges more. I'm going to work on some parts I made before but turned out to be larger then I need them to be. Anything I should know or try when doing test runs? What should I look out for? How can I round the edges and stay true to shape?

Hey, long time no update. I know its been a while life is a little crazy for me right now but the armor is still being worked on. It is a side project for me so I do it when I can. With the holidays coming up it's a little nuts. I will be doing some test work before I actually make the armor...

I got one leg done and the other is half put together right now. This one fits much better.

I will look into what makes it cheaper. I have a resin mold right now that would be a good shape for the sight. I could make a thin sheet of resin and then shape it. I think I have green glow resin powder also or I can just order some.

I know I have gloves in the basement and I think the respirator is down there also. It probably needs to have the filters replaced though. I was going to work in the garage when applying the resin. I do all my painting there.

I will look at prices for it. I’m probably going to get the paint first though and work on my weathering technique. I have seen people use just the resin before and no cloth. Will the cloth provide more strength to it?

It’s all done!! I have some spots to touch up but I’m super happy with it.

Ok, the new helmet is almost done and then I will probably work on getting paint for it and sealing it. Pictures to come soon.

I was actually thinking of finding some grey work pants like dickies. Walmart has them or look at a Salvation Army store. I know a lot of cosplayers who get things at the thrift store and save a lot.

I’m going to have to have to resize the forearm gauntlets to me. The one shown is actually even larger and would be weird looking on me. I’m going to make them out of foam probably.
