Perfect! I found the thread you mentioned. Apparently it was made for another member who planned on casting it, so I contacted them to see if they would be interested in selling me one. Thanks for the heads up on that.

It isn't wearable. There is a large rectangular block cut out, but not enough room for a head or anything. It was probably only cut out to reduce the overall weight. On a somewhat related topic, does anyone know what type of display stand would be good to hold this up? It weighs ~20 pounds.

Thanks for the comments. Not sure what material it was made from, but I believe it is resin. I need to contact the seller again anyway, so I'll ask him when I do. You would have tried to buy it... :p And of course it is important - it is one of the few, if not only, officially made 1:1...

It arrived on Saturday. Much heavier than I expected it to be, and overall much better quality as well. Here's a pic I took of it next to a McF figure for size comparison:

Thanks for the comments. I have no intentions of doing anything with the helmet other than keeping it in my collection. Just thought the folks here would appreciate it, so I figured I'd post it here for anyone that missed it on eBay. I'll take more pictures of it once it arrives.

Yeah, they reused the same sculpts a TON. I have a few hundred prototypes, and maybe only five or six have different sculpts. Everything else are just test shots (molded in random colors and not painted) or unreleased variants. Finding new sculpst is really hard, and more expensive than most...

Way to read my entire post. Right after they say it ships within 30 days, it says they will not be responsible for delays because of manufacturing. Incase you do not quite understand that, that means they do not have to ship if they do not receive the figures from McFarlane within 30 days...

You won't get them now. It is pretty convenient that the auction states "it will shipped within 30 days of auction close" (this is a rule on eBay when you are taking preorders), and then "we are not responsible for manufacture's delay." Sounds like they plan on just telling you it is delayed...
