I know it’s been a while - life got in the way for a bit - but I’m finally back on this armor! Did the ab plate today, and I’m starting to cut templates for the forearms

What thickness of foam is best to use for making a helmet, especially allowing room for fans (and maybe a mic and speaker, if I decide to really get ambitious)? I’m trying to start planning ahead for whenever I get to that point in my armor build

Left pauldron is done! Starting a scale check bracer, then I’ll build the right pauldron

My 4mm foam is in! Got it unrolling, then I’ll be able to start on some of the thinner pieces. Until then, I’ve got one pauldron underway and am probably gonna start a scale test bracer so I’m ready when I get to that point

I’d be interested in some decals too! Not sure which yet, though

And we have (most of) a breastplate! I don’t have the rib plates mounted currently (not sure if I can mount them, given their wear angles and my current physique, and still need to make the thruster nozzles and a few little detail pieces. May need to fit Velcro or something on the joint...

Sounds like a really comfortable option! Is there a way it could be adapted to a helmet like the Mjolnir Helljumper that doesn’t have the built-in vent mounts at the cheeks?

First rib plate is done, and second is underway. Best case scenario, I’m hoping to be mounting thrusters by the end of the night, if not final structural assembly of the breastplate

Well, I’m skipping a few miniscule pieces of the reactor (at least for now), because they’re too thin for me to make of available materials, and non structural too. On to the rib pieces!
