I started with a 30" satellite dish then ground off the parts i didnt need and welded the plate on the back. Glad you like it!

So in preperation for the premier awhile ago, I decided to finally make a Cap shield. Its made of a 30" satellite dish and is backed with an 1/8" thick steel plate for stablity. really happy with how this came out and i hope you guys enjoy.

So i whipped this up a couple of days ago, it started as just fooling around during some downtime while in shop class. Ended up finishing it after the wood body worked better than expected.

it has a luan wood base, detailed and smoothed with joint compound and...
the size of your helmet is fine, its the chest that is too small. go watch a couple of the cutscenes and look at how far the chest sticks out in all directions. its actually wuite ridiculous how far they had it come out.
his body panels are going to be made of birch while his head will be MDF. his limbs will more than likely be PVC, and thanks! :)

you do realise that you have now set the bar on your armor out in space right? anything less would be completely unacceptable.....jk damn dude this is fantastic. its a costume in itself.
ive actually given this a fair amount of thought as well. while i have no military background and know little about body armor, i think it would be badass to have a battle ready suit.
in my oppinion, the reach mark V would offer the best protection to mobility ratio. certain parts are bulky...
