Hey guys, I'm new to the community. I've decided I want to 3D print a suit and I was wondering which filament to use! I heard PLA+ and PETG are good, but I'm not sure which to use.

Yes PLA + and PETG are both very good options! I used PLA+ for my helmet.

Now my suit is all foam besides the helmet, so I can't weight in on which is better for a whole suit. Here is a thread from 2022 about different types of filament with thought from people who print their whole suits:

Thank you this helps a lot! Big fan of your work BTW, your youtube video is hugely helpful.

I, personally, use PETG. I haven't even tried PLA for cosplay. I guess I'm too paranoid about my armour melting in my car (which is where I store it), so I went with PETG

Okay good to know, I've heard a lot about this. From what I gather PLA+ and PETG are very similar but PETG has better heat resistance.

PETG is also tougher in general, which does make sanding a bit harder, and it's also a little harder to print. So they both have their pros and cons
