Thanks for the list Sierra! I may be mistaken, but there are some differences in dates/events from my current knowledge to what is shown. In April the Gold Coast Supanova event runs on the 17th-18th, while the Oz Comic Con Brisbane was pushed back to it's usual time of September, although the site isn't showing a date. The Brisbane Supanova date on the site shows 6th and 7th of November 2021 however I don't know if that's been updated from last year.

Also just checking this announcement here, the Sydney Oz Comic Con was pushed back to September as well, but in March they've got a "pop up" convention. Dates seem to be all over the place because conventions aren't updating their sites (and events are constantly changing).

Also, someone broke the "request an attendence" link you provided.

what does one do at these events? What does request for attendance mean? Do I need to bring anything if I want to volunteer to represent? Sorry if i'm making these questions sound like a bombshell, but I needed to get it all out due to my curiosity

Thats ok! I'll break up the answers into different portions to better help you here.

The main purpose of event attendance is to provide a presence for both Halo costumers and non-Halo costumers to learn how to get started on building props and armor, socialise with other members as well as join up with the organisation, as well as provide opportunities for members to step up and lead panels, meetups, and more.

Requesting for attendance is only necessary if you are an organisation or business looking to utilise the Australian Regiment for any events based around Halo or fund-raising opportunities for charities and NGOs. If you are a member, or looking to become a member - it's best to get in touch with staff who can point you in the best direction and give you info on how to get started.

If you want to represent the 405th at any events, you must at least have a costume related to Halo or some form of 405th identity clothing (hat, jacket, shirt), be knowledgeable as well as informative to those who ask questions, as well as making sure that you cleared it with staff beforehand.

Normally representation of the regiment/405th is handled by a member of staff, such as myself, whereisdanielle, CaminusPrime or the squadron leaders mawrTRON, Squizzy, Jobe Devian and Wade Stenchion. If the location required for representation is too far out for any one of the members mentioned, we will often opt to ask anyone who is in the area and of good stature with the regiment to undertake said representation.

PAX Australia has made the official announcement that they are returning for the 8th to 10th of October this year! Calendar has been updated with details, which can also be found on their official website!
