Hi! I plan in November to start building my first suit. It'll be a Halo 3 Mark VI and i have a few questions to ask.

1: Is there a certain type of printer i should use?

2: What piece should I build first?

3: How do i install a visor?

1: Is there a certain type of printer i should use?

Pretty much any store-bought printer will be able to handle the cardstock you'll (presumably) be working with.

2: What piece should I build first?

If you're inexperienced with Pepakura, then try something simple like a shoulder piece or a shin. Work on practise before you jump into the project. You'll be glad you did.

3: How do i install a visor?

Focus on getting your build constructed and hardened first - the visor should be one of your final concerns.

I would even recommend something small as hand pieces or a boot. I personally started off with boots.
When you start with something smaller, you will gain some experience before jumping to something bigger and more advanced.

Agreed about something small. If you make a mistake......its going to be a small piece that you would have to redo and not something huge like the chest or helmet.

My first piece was a shoulder. It was a great learning experience. My second piece was a boot. That went much better, but also a great learning experience.

I agree with the above!

Also agree with starting small, unless you have doubts about whether you'll complete the build or not. Then I would start with the helmet, should life get in the way you atleast have a cool shelf piece if nothing else.

Like the rest start with something small. And dont be afraid to do the piece and then set it aside and do it again. I started with my helmet and it nearly drove me insane by the time I got it sized out and got past learning curve.
