Hey Super Citizens! I'm working on my B-01 armor set from Helldivers 2 and wanted to know how other divers made their vest under the torso armor (image for reference). Thank you!

Hey! I used some thin foam, chopped it into squares, wrapped it with a fabric that matched the game, and glued the piece together. Created the pattern of the vest fairly well and took very little time. Plus helped cushion the ab piece.

I didn't do the seams around the individual pieces nor the buckle at the end. If you're wanting to do that, I've seen people use tape or sew duck cloth or something similar to the edges, as well as glue/hammer in a slot for the strap.

Sweet! Thanks for the help!

I know this thread is a bit old, but I ended up following your advice with cutting the foam into squares reminiscent of the main shapes from the game and wrapping said pieces with black duck canvas fabric. I found that gluing/partially sewing the foam pieces to a larger backing of fabric that connects all foam pieces was the way to go to maintain a flexibility, as well as allow for space to attach Velcro to the undersuit. Additionally, I used a black duct tape outline around all pieces which resulted in a very game-accurate appearance! Thanks for your advice earlier-very much appreciated.
