Another New Suit For Lord Bert... Again...

Hey yall. Been a minute since i made a thread. But... here i am. With Omega in full swing, and my power ranger suit being retired soon, Im looking to my next creation. Ive decided to go with another crossover suit. One that I actually got the idea from my wife. Kratos.

But of course im going to work it into the Halo Universe. Being that in the GoW lore he is a spartan, I thought it would be fitting. Ive decided to use Titlewaves Mk V (b) core as the armor set due to its more bulky nature. Using the PDO shoulders for their size. But I am going to use the Infinite Version of the Achilles helmet for hes head, that way i can be in photos. But I also am bald and have a pretty hefty beard, so i could go without as well. lol.

I have ran into a predicament, weapon choice...
So, if you are familiar with the GoW games, Kratos has the Leviathan Axe and the Blades of Chaos... which i have printed now...

But i did get to thinking... i need a halo weapon that would be fitting for Kratos. And thats where yall come in. Fallen gave me the idea of Diminisher of Hope, which is a fantastic idea, and SpartanSweed said it has to be Banished for sure. I would like everyones thoughts on this, weapons of choice. I do plan on have the blades with me because they are iconic, but i need a (halo) weapon...

I love the axe etc. but... What if you combine the axe idea with a gravity hammer? Take a gravity hammer and give it a viking/Kratos aesthetic.

Switch up the handle... Engrave the runes etc. in the axe blade of the hammer... Lots of gold and silver in the engravings... That sort of thing.

I second the Gravity Hammer / Diminisher of Hope with the runes inscribed on them. I also second keeping the Blades of Chaos on your back though. As Kratos has carried them through worlds paired with the axe, plus they're so dang iconic!

This is going to be an amazing, build, heck yeah.

Small update. Chest unit is done! Well 95% done. I only need to add lighting and foam for comfort padding. But here she is.

Another small update. While waiting for other pieces to dry and print, I went ahead and did the lighting in the chest unit. And I went ahead little fancy and used a touch switch instead of a standard on off. So now all I have to do is touch my chest center and the lights will turn on.

And then this is the other stuff drying.

Ok I’ve gotten a few things done in the last four days. With the support of my wife and a couple friends.

To start, ab wrap… it took 9 days, but using Titlewaves Undersuit file I printed the torso in TPU air. I used 80% flow at 270 to get a rough 85A shore hardness. But I think I’ve gained weight over the time I’ve had armor smith… because it was a little small. lol. Time to redo armor smith measurements. Anyway, I do have another one going… 9more days… but I do have a temp solution that I think will work as a backup. I trimmed the details out and the used some 4” elastic to bind them together.

Then while all that was printing I was also printing thighs and shins and boots. Thighs and shins are currently in the filler primer stage

I did also get my biceps and shoulders done. I will do all the rigging and what not after I have everything fully done. I’ve had bad luck doing it before paint.

I gotta say I love Titlewave and the way he thinks ahead for us cosplayers. My belt is also all the way done. Thanks to the brilliant mind of NobleofDeath16 Who showed me his awesome belt trick, it’s so frigging good.

Then there’s my boots. Finished the printing in TPU and the painted them up. I did the fuzzy skin painting in the slicer to help hide layer lines and give the boots some texture. Just need to strap them so they stay together.

Then to my weapons. The blades of chaos are on hold at the moment. But, I did get with Parzival and he helped me a ton. To make the diminisher of hope mesh with the theme. So he took the pattern of runes from leviathan axe and put them on the blades of the axe for me.

Now to paint them like the GoW blades and shove some lights in them. He did such a damn good job. The head is also printed along with grips. Just gotta get a dowel rod for it.

That’s in for now. Back to the grind.

I have always appreciated how creative your Mash Up costumes are. Can't wait to see the continued progress on this one.
