Armor Scaling Help/Armorsmith Fitting

Hey guys! My name’s Jesse, and I’m currently working on a Mark VII Mjolnir Halo suit! This is my first time using Armorsmith or doing any cosplay at all, so I’d really appreciate any advice or feedback you can give.

I’ve made an avatar in Armorsmith using my exact measurements—I’m about 5'9" and 168–170 lbs—but I’m having trouble figuring out if I’ve scaled the parts correctly.

Right now, I’m noticing gaps between pieces like the shin and the boot, and some of the armor proportions don’t seem to match my reference images. I'm not sure if I need to rescale certain pieces or if this is just something that gets corrected later in the build process.

I’ve attached some reference photos and screenshots of my current progress—any insight would be super helpful!

Thanks in advance!

Chestplate definitely looks small to me! for the most part thats it! forearms could probably be bigger. Also on the armorsmith avatar the forearms are swapped. Just make the chestplate and forearms bigger and you should be good! I would also just double check the shoulder width on your avatar. I know ive had issues with it seeming right but if it looks correct to you and compared to your body then thats what matters!

Ahh yeah that makes sense. I went ahead and rescaled the forearms to be bigger along with the chestplate and kept the biceps/arms the same size since the additional shoulder attachments are already bulky.

I added a tiny bit more size to the legs to match the upper body changes.

Also I rechecked my avatar and found it was the same as my earlier measurements, but I definitely see now what you mean by the shoulder width looking funky, and will be sure to make any adjustments in the eva foam I plan on creating it with.

I've included updated pictures of my character model.

Please let me know if there are any further revisions/recommendations you have, this has been really helpful!
