UPDATE!!
3 full segments down, 4 more to go. Still a slow process, takes about 3 days (18 hours) to complete one half of a segment. Tried a few different spray colors, but didn't like any of them. Looks like I'll be hand painting the entire thing, oh joy. Also found a nice way to link them together on the back half using parachute clips zip-tied onto the back, just hoping they won't tear at the foam too much. Working on adding more support through the usage of velcro on the side, which will help hide some of the seams as well. Internal lights look good so far, may have a few dim spots here and there, not sure there's anything I can do about it now as the internals are sealed.
Here's a pic of the 3 sections put together, hard to believe when all assembled this part will be sitting up 6 feet taller
