Boot Height Extending Soles help

Hello again and happy New Year!

I am working on upgrading my Mk VII boots and looking at 3d printing some soles to put on the bottom of the boots that I use. I'm currently working on the files in Blender, trying to get them to work. However, I wanted to check in with the community to see if this is even a good idea. I wanted to end up with something that looks like what SgtSaint did here

If someone has files that will work for what I am trying to do, or even tips on the best way to make them work in Blender, that would be great; if not, I'll try to share the files that I will use once I have them finished later.

Thanks for all the help, 405th!

If someone has files that will work for what I am trying to do,
I don't see how someone else files will help you. Your boots should be scaled to your shoes. If your armor has been scaled to your size 9wide combat boot then someone else's size 12 crocs-based isn't going to match up. Then you have the same issue if your armor is GalacticArmory and someone elses are AguilarWorkshop: The geometry is that little bit different.

even tips on the best way to make them work
Leave the top of sole in place, drag the bottom portion down, stretching it to the height you want. My latest are 100mm thick soles. How you do that in blender, I don't know as I don't use blender.
TIP: I had to make sure I grabbed enough of the bottom to include the tread so I didn't make the tread 50mm thick.
You want to stretch the vertically middle area and not the face attaching to the armor or the tread so they stay looking normal and all your mating faces still mate.
