Would it be possible for me to create a mold using plaster, then adding resin into the plaster mold?
Would it break or would the plaster melt with resin?

You can do this but only for simple shapes with no undercuts. You will need to coat the inside of the mold with a release agent like vaseline (petroleum jelly).

BTW couldn't this have gone into the Resin Questions thread? You have alot of question threads running simultaneously... Please try to conserve space on the site... it isn't unlimited. Use a single thread for your questions and progress images.

Thanks.
