-advice-Your helmet looks a lot like my helmet. I rushed it to make halloween and it turned out alright what ever you did different when you were peping the body continue doing though. it looked good. me and my friend are working slowly using the pen method and hot glue this time and it makes all the difference.

-praise-Your being very original and obviosly putting thought into it. Creativity goes a long way. Me and my friend are developing the best nontoxic non budget burner method at the moment and it takes a lot of pacience (I know for a strait A. advanced 8th grader, I can not spell)

-and- You stole my idea from my head! I was going to do a similar elite helmet shoulder thing but you got to it first!

Well thanks guys Im redooing the helmet becaus that one is bad and it breaks easily. I found thast out at a party.

Heres a few. I have more of my torso hanging in my closet. I also pepped a leg.

Question:

When you combine so many different types of armor, and modify those you don't combine, to create a hybrid armor of your own, ultimately, few people will recognize it as Halo-derivative. I feel this is what's going to happen with your project. If that's the case, why bother sticking to the Halo universe?

And it's not that I'm actually suggesting your idea isn't far enough out there - I'm just raising a question that's been on my mind since you started this. You're doing a decent job at what you're attempting, but I worry that a lot of the value of what you're trying to do will be lost in the end because too many people who look at it will simply think it's some armor from something they've never seen/heard of because they don't recognize it. I worry that they'll get vague hints of Halo, at most, but will ultimately be lost as to what you are trying to accomplish unless you tell them.

Just voicing a concern of mine.

I never thought of that but The helmet will give it away. Plus this is my first armor build im tryin to have some fun and then ill be serious and probally make a Mk6 torso and replace the odst.

Oops, I for to to mark this as post ponned. I am keeping this on hold until I finish my Lab Rat armor. (H2 ODST) you know to mess around with it learn to do better here is the threads link. I also removed the Arby helmets from the torso. I am keping the ones I have pepped though.

New armor wip

hmmm even though this thread is "postponed" i still feel the need to comment.

now i wont lie, when i first started reading through this thread (i should be working on a paper due tomorrow... but i feel being up to date on the 405th is more important haha)i didn't have very much confidence in what i was going to see in the "endish" results pictures. and after seeing a couple of the first pictures i was a little worried. BUT after going through all 4 pages, and seeing the work you did on your torso, i gotta say, i'm kinda liking the whole concept you have going here. its creative, and looks like you are having fun with a first attempt at something that is not easy (building armour of any type) so supper props to yeah man.

and as mentioned in one of the above posts, with all the mods made to the armours you are splicing together, it really dose loose a lot of the halo'ness... but why not just go with that, use the halo armours to make your own creation, and why stop there ? you could make your own back story to the whole thing. they call it fantasy armour for a reason ;) sides, building anything in pepakura, be it the actual halo armour or something of your own creation, is still valuable practice right ?

anyhoo, back to paper writing for me, and good luck on your build ! should be interesting to see how it turns out :)

O.T.

P.S. oh yeah, almost forgot, a little tip, try to avoid double and triple posting (even in your own threads....) the mods don't like it... so if you want to add a response to someone or forget to add something to your post, just click the "edit" option at the bottom of your post, and it will bring you back to the comment screen that will let you add or remove things from the first post... in fact i had to use the button to add this tip ;) haha

though, if you are updating with pictures... i usually still double post if nobody has commented sense my last entry lol
