hello everyone and i would like to say this is my first suit of armor made entirely from peparkura. I spent all week to finish this suit just for this event and barely finished it in time for the event and now pictures. ( please note these are only screenshots from a video a friend took and will later be put on youtube)

during the entire event never in my life would i think i would have my picture taken that many times! within one minute of entering the convention my picture was taken 24 times! i couldnt believe it! and this was also my very first convention i had ever been to and im so happy i went and enjoyed every minute of the event. well heres my story at the con.
it was saturday around 2:00 PM
when we first arrived we went to the wrong building. the reason why was because my friend Kuma went to last years con and it was held in that building but they moved to the nice glass house about 900 feet the other direction and our ride already went home and i was in a full suit of armor that could only allow me to walk instead of a hurry pace like everyone else because i have never worn my armor before and didnt know what i can and cannot do.
so we walked down the ramp towards the convention when a taxi van offered a ride over for $10 dollars and we took the ride ( now to let everyone know its me, kuma, cameron, and my girlfriend grace) well when everyone got in i was the last one in which was difficult. now remember this was a van and i was going in through the sliding door! i could barely get in because i couldnt raise my foot high enough to enter but eventually i managed to sit down and get back out.
when we got there i was first happy to see there were escaltors other wise getting up the stairs might have taken a while. when we got in we wre greeted by someone dressed as "L" from deathnote inquiring if we were kira then told us about the layout while that was going on i was mesmerized by the entire event, the people, the costumes, everything and having my picture being taken was especially flatering. i got to meet cosplayers from 300 and one had to give a buddy hug and a picture. oh and the amount of compainion cubes was astoninshing as well. while my friends waited in line for tickets i had to remove my suit so i could hot glue the visor in and then later suited up. later in the convention and many pictures later i met hitman form the forums going as a sith master and he wouldve been wearing his armor but it was stolen. i also met another member of the 405th his name escapes me but his avatar is stitch with armor on both of which complimented my armor and i was happy about that. well later we wondered over to the gaming area where i stood nearby the halo 3 game until someone noticed then another flurry of pictures being taken.
well later my visor began to pop out and then hitman helped out by regluing it in. later when it came to lunch time i discoverd another thing about the armor: I cant ge food in to my mougth! but thank fully my girlfriend felt pity and hand fed me. the rest of the day was pretty much like above until about 6:00 when i took off the armor because the torso was rubbing up on my collar bone which later became bruised and my bicep pieces kept on rolling back until i couldnt move. I then met red dragon in his marine armor which he did a really good job with
later guess who came! nightmare armor studios came in with there GOW armor on then later after they finally had there chance they began to make it to my end of the hall and when they began back towards me i had to stop and ask what they thought of my armor after my girl friend pleaded with me not to ask but i just had to think what the pros thought
then they surprised me the guy as Marcus was actually Nightmare Armor and the guy as damon is actually red sleigh down which totally shocked me because i couldnt believe it was them. well after a talk and how they thought it was pretty good for my first shot at this and a handshake later with everyone really made my day and i couldnt be any happier with the results of that day.
well if you read it all i appreciate anything you may have to say about the armor and if you can find pictures of me at the con please post them here because i didnt have a chance to take any pictures for myself. Megaocn 08 is definitly the highlight of my year of 2008
