finally found a colour thats is fairly close sage green. any1 in the uk struggling to find a good masterchief colour its at homebase. i could only find gloss but it looks ok to me.
also have started on a hd thigh piece. first 1 was too small this fits but is miss shaped at the bottom. (if u can tell by the picture) does any1 know why or what is causing this and how i can avoid it
Nice pep work man, I'm from the UK and haven't seen any colour like chiefs but I have seen shops like the range where they have loads of spray paints so I'll check there and see if I can find anything, where did you get your Rondo and bondo from? And what thickness of card stock did you use and where did you get it from?
just tried fitting straps to my boot ive spent two weeks on and snapped the tongue part. does any1 have a guide on how to fit the pieces of the boot together and what materials they used eg glues etc. used a plunger for the bit that covers the laces but look crap. im losing interest dont know if im going to try again which is annoying as ive spent £250 on materials so far and only have handplates done.
You've probably heard this before, but if your getting frustrated with part of your build, put it down and go do something else for a bit.
Not only does it mean you can come back with a fresh eye, it also means you can have a break (of which I recommend many) and just focus on something else
As for paint colours in the UK, I tend to go into Halfords with either a screen shot saved to my phone, or a figurine or some such. The cap colour isn't too far off. but it will change slightly depending on what colour primer you go with (I usually stick with grey).
One final thought- if you've invested that much into it, persevere!!! Your hand plates look awesome and a finished suit makes the pain worthwhile
