Adam,

You have neglected your peers and have been selfish and controlling. You have been collecting funds, donations and contributions and been non-nonchalant about making an effort to get your products to members in any sort of timely fashion. You have been making questionable sales (Don't pretend you don't know what We're talking about) and have been going behind members backs to only better yourself and your wallet. You call this a community but every action has been to better yourself first, then the "community". You think that you can continue onwards but the people will not stand for it, the people that make this community. You have bent the rules in your favor on a number of occasions along with some of your Staff, (Spase, we're looking at you.) You will either change your ways and give some power to the community, or like Cesar, you too will fall from your status of power. This is not a threat against you or any other as a person, just what you stand for. Beware the Ides of March Adam. This message is for all of those you've tossed aside.

This account was created with proxies and temporary e-mails. Don't bother attempting to trace the message, don't bother responding. We want results.

-The real power behind the 405th, it's members.

What can I say but -- DAMN! That is a post that needs to be discussed in further detail! I say we open this up and get all the cards on the table.

Adam - any response besides locking this? It would be nice to hear you answer these allegations.

Odd, Since coming here Spase has always been more than helpful to a lot of people, me included. Adam has created the 405th and I doubt without his major contribution that as much would be going on in halo costuming. I'm not entirely sure what your issue is all about and frankly I don't care. Seems like there is always someone Hiding behind a pc screen someplace.

Adam, Spase there are a lot of people here who do appreciate what you have done and continue to do for all of us. Honor, Armor, Community!

I agree with you partially. Spase has been nothing but helpful. As far as the 405th, someone would have created a site just as good (or better perhaps). We all hide behind a pc screen - you are doing it now. We are all entitled to our own opinions - they don't have to be liked.

If Adam is Cesar, your Brutus ? If he did any of those so called thing...why dont mention a example?

This threat is highly questionable.....

True, very true. It just upsets me to see this kind of cheap shots going on here. I come to this site to get away from that kind of bs. if they have a legitimate complaint with Adam and Spase I can think of a lot better ways to deal with it than this.

I'd also disagree, Spase and the mods have been helpful. Mostly :)

Anon, you really think this is the best way to air out your issues?

If you have something to say, come out and say it. Don't sockpuppet.
Give examples, otherwise your just slandering.

eh? after all the stuff they did for us now blame them for things that arnt true

be happy ha put this website up the internet or there wasnt a 405th

Well I agree with some of the things listed by Anonymous like for the donations (partly), but I think we should still be respectful for the Moderating Team.

LastSpartan - I agree mostly. Not all the mods deserve our respect. Now it's time for some evidence in this matter.

I'm fairly new here, but if Adam created this website ...isn't he entitled to make some money from it?

It's not like he's taking credit or money for other people's work is it?

I'll get suspicious when I'm no longer able to log in without supplying my paypal details haha.

I'd like to say this before I have ANYONE jumping down my throat about this:

I didn't do it. I swear to God, this wasn't me, despite the disagreements I'm having with the staff. I don't have the rocks to do this sort of thing.

But I'll give you this, from a PM I got from Spase yesterday:

If you have been around long enough to notice, people that openly oppose the website owner and moderation team, don't often stay long.

That doesn't sound especially fair to me. In fact, it sounds pretty much like a threat: that anybody who has some criticisms against the 405th will be banned - and to me, that reeks of a dictatorship. I've been speaking to a few people about this and it's not just a little instance here. I've been told by several people about unfair bannings - the names Primal Weyland and Vrogy were ones I had recommended to me. I don't know the circumstances behind the actions there but I'm willing to bet, from what I've heard from many different sources, that they were 'shut up'.

Do the members of this site not have the right to criticise the 'government' controlling it, and vote into power a 'government' that they believe will better serve their interests?

The PM conversation I had with Spase also went into some detail about Excalibur - and that the 405th refused to accept the Excaibur division as a division in its own right and allow it its own freedoms. While I understand the reasoning for this, Excalibur deserves to have its own modus operandi and not have to answer directly to the 405th in matters only concerning Excalibur.

I like this forum. I really do - but I think the voices have spoken on the matter of unfairness and problems regarding the staff, and maye it is time that we got some answers?

While attempting to stay impartial a few of the issues that have been raised here are valid. But i don't believe this thread was the best way to present the issues.

Wow, I've been around here along time. And I have seen nothing but help from almost every member of this site towards each other. This includes Spase and Adam. for the most part people are cool tempered (although I have noticed some people who get upset when a noob doesn't use the search key) and truley are here as a community. Everyone came here with the same purpose and this bonds us together as "propers", "Friends" and in some cases even "family". Remember we all have that "annoying cousin" but that doesn't mean we don't love him.

People are never going to agree with each other all of the time. But that's not an excuse to bash on and threaten not only the mods, but Adam too. He was nice enough to create and run this site.

And how can any of us threaten him to do anything? It's his site; he could just ban us, charge everyone a subscription fee to use the forums, or just shut the site down.

Maybe he hasn't been on time shipping some stuff, but he's got a life too, and sometimes that gets in the way.

You don't have to agree with everything the mods do, but that's not an excuse to threaten them.

What p0rtalman said can apply to anyone offering goods on this site. Contact the buyer when you receive payment, let them know how long to ship, and ship it all at once unless they tell you a partial shipment is ok. It just isn't Adam (IMO). Common courtesy is the key. You want a part time business, treat it like full time.

This might not have been the best way to approach this subject but now the "community" is very aware that there may be problems.

I'm not perfect, and I never claim to be. I wish you wouldn't think that I make tons of money off you guys, because I don't. A couple things I can get in over my head about, or behind on. But I always try to be fair to everyone and get things resolved satisfactorily. I can't help get things resolved with you if you hide behind an anyonymous screen name. Feel free to email me about this issue, and we'll talk about what needs to be done to get it fixed. But that certainly is no reason to complain to the other members. If you need personal issue resolved, contact me directly.

Thanks.

When someone hides behind an obvious smoke screen to cast such doubt I find this interesting. Its a cowardice predicated by the need to be anonymous that causes messages like this to lack the necessary credibility.

I stepped up with Vrogy and Primal Weyland to take the heat that would come with the actions that needed to happen regarding their suspension. I made myself the bad guy, so that others would not have to be.... Both of these individuals got what they feel were unjust suspension without due trial. It was not for lack of trying on my part. Both will tell you the same story, of a hurtful Spase out to silence those of opposition. Both of these individuals actions, theirs as well as mine in the process of their removal, have been discussed by moderators and staff at great lengths. In both cases their removal was deemed necessary by many, not just myself.

Thank you Crucible for taking what I said out of context, it helps to Document conversations... what I SAID was...

Excalibur is not recognized as division of the 405th, the 405th.com website does not have divisions.... (we are all here to help everyone). There has been work to form an official 405th Costuming Fan Club, but the work is still ongoing, and at this time seperate from the 405th.com forum. The UK members of the site have a section of the board to post UK related topics because of the separation in construction material types and places to find it, as well as a more defined area for discussion of their events.

I have never turned my ear away from someone with a complaint, I have never left a PM unanswered. I have gone out of my to help many people. I have taken on others responsibilities to get things done for the sake of keeping peace. But documenting conversations, private messages and IM in both cases goes a long way to helping clear the air when someone attempts to alter a story.

Dear Anon,

Grow up. If you're getting all huffy over a HOBBY you need to move on. If you're butt hurt because you were banned, wtf? The only time I got really peeved was when nasty little characters like you were going around and ruining a Halo forum. Adam doesn't charge us anything to be here. And yeah, Adam can be slow, Lord knows I had to have a word with him on an item, but he got it to me, and it's all good. And if you think there's money in props.. LOL OMG! You really don't know anything! Is there stuff I don't 100% agree with? Of course, that's human nature. And what Adam does with his life and free time is none of our business.

As for Spase, you just need to back way the f up. He's the most level-headed of us all, and he's helped MANY people out. He tried to extend olive branches to a couple of people who really caused HUGE problems here. He's done so much good here, and you're attacking him? It really shows what little character you have. And if you're posting in reference to people who were banned for AWFUL behavior... get a life.

OMG must trace anon user. Words on a screen that someone had to "cover" their tracks because their so obcessed with wanting to be on 405th. And they're butt-hurt because they're not allowed on a site where they treated everyone like garbage? You're in too deep. Once people you don't even know or interact with make you do stuff like this. I suggest you get a life and fast.

The Real power of 405th, common sense...

But then again I publicly Justify myself, AGAIN, to someone who now hides in anonymity.... take your legion of anonymous people who hate us so much for providing you a place to even post your hatred, and have a good day someplace else... its hard to miss people that were anonymous to begin with.

As for people that openly oppose the Moderators, yes, we enforce the rules you break, you complain about it openly causing arguements and further rule violations, and then before long, you are no longer with us. But again, comments taken out of context can be very confusing.
