Alright so over this weekend we began cutting. Today, we began folding and putting together. Here's some pics.

I know I shouldn't be posting a question inside my WIP, but... I will anyway.
Can I resin, then stop there?

when your finished you could resin but bondo wont have enough support and if you bend it at all it will crack so unless your not using bondo then yes you wouldnt have to use fiberglass cloth

yeah no bondo for me.

you can get a get a trial size of smooth cast 300 (around $30) and thats all you'll need and can be smoothed with close to no body filler

There are alot of alternatives to bondo. Clay, Apoxie Sculpt just to name those 2.

And personnaly, I don't how you would resin and not bondo. Fiberglass is way harder than bondo, and just as toxic I believe.

Resin, Fiberglass and Bondo.

If 40$ for a respirator is too much for you, I don't see what you'll do with a paper helmet with resin on top of it.

The real reason is my parents don't want me using fiberglass.

Use Aqua Resin or Smoothcast 300.

You could even use the hotglue method

Before when i first started out, my mom wouldn't really want me to work with fiberglass + resin. But until i showed her the hot glue method vs fiberglass, she chose the stronger stuff
