different materials?

Hello world! I'm mostly just a lurker, but quick question: Have people ever tried using any materials other than foam, resin casts and pep? I've seen some people use cardboard before; links to any threads explaining the stuff help. I might get into this hobby but I think I want to start off with something that won't kill me if my gas mask slips

I mostly prefer organic methods as well because dealing with fumes is such a hassle and I'm a bit of a health nut. I kind of show glimpses of this in the one thread I have up atm, but I'm preparing to upload a new weapon build that should better detail my process. I've applied it to simple armour sets as well when making costumes for my younger brother, perhaps I'll snap a few shots if you think it may be of use. I'll try to remember to send a link your way when i put it up if you'd like. :thumbsup

This stuff wont kill you, though masks are recommended, you dont exactly need it. The problem is, if you want less fumes, its alot more expensive.
