Esy`s Artaius helmet + Custom armor + M319 grenade launcher

Hello my old friends!
Its been a long time I did not post anyhting in here. But after almost 1.5 decade im back. Winter is here and i was finally feeling to do some halo prop work!
My eyes land down on granade launcher by OddWorks. Love the model, but I can still see some space for upgrades. Planning to replace the 3d printed bolt heads with real ones. Thinking about working display etc. Will see what Ill be able to do. So far im in printing stage. But slowly comming till the end and then the fun will begin.

Ok, so almost all the parts are printed. I’m just missing the module with the monitor, which I’ll print on the resin printer so it looks nice and I can make it hollow to easily fit the electronics inside. Now I need to start filing and sanding the FDM-printed parts, and begin measuring the printed bolt heads so I can sand them down and drill real holes to replace them with actual bolts. I think that will make the final result look much better.

So, I'm planning to make the whole armor and helmet. I just edited the thread name.

Now I'm waiting for some materials so I can continue on the grenade launcher. My Artaius helmet is currently printing. Looks like the scaling will be on point.


To make the helmet easier to print, I cut it into smaller pieces and glued them together. Gluing with two-part epoxy turned out to be a bad and tedious decision because it takes hours to cure, so I had to fix the parts with hot glue, which I'll need to remove later. Then I think I'll lay down a layer of fiberglass to just fix the parts together to be sure!
