nicely made helmet there, so is the baby bear helmet? (just right that is?) when are you planning on fging it?

Heh, Spartan 051 was right when the ladies get the most posts when it comes to prop making. Very nice clean folds, I've had the problem of failing and not taking time at doing the cuts. I've dumped 2-3 Pepped projects before.(Poor Poor trees, noobs like like me don't have mercy for them) Good thing they were smaller projects and thankfully didn't print out a whole friggin' suit since. I just basically screwed scaling back then.

o.o That was a long comment(lol) anyway nice job!

I can haz ASL? [/sarcasm]

looking pretty good. I'm working on this file to replace my old/broken helmet, but my fingers are too massive to fold/score the areas around the lights. it's quite frustrating.

but looking good, I'll lurk for more updates.

Haha thanks! I agree, the LED parts are a real pain to fold, so I ended up cutting a few corners when it came to assembling them! :)

Pink between the helmet o_O

ROFL yup, gotta have the pink support struts! I'm planning on painting the helmet white with a nice pink as the secondary colour...WAIT! *Stops herself from going into a long rant about permutations and colours*

SprayNoob(Dont mind, i added a bit random, what more can you add?? xD)

More updates coming your way sir!
Just as soon as I can get a weekend where I'm free I'll be fibreglassing, but I'm in two minds over whether I should go for the smoothcast approach or resin & fibreglass! s0 MANy OPSHIONS!!1!

Thanks for the lovely words! I have to admit, the trees probably hate me too. I think I'll end up being single-handedly responsible for the destruction of the world's forests!

uh oh hopefully im not too late , HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! :p
2 choices huh? :p Im taking the resin & fiberglass way :p i recommend it, unless your uberly awesome working with smoothcaster (used it, and i made a plastic Socom from metal gear solid :p)

to me smoothcast seams harder cause you have to sand away all the paper in order for it to finish or add on spot putty and bondo which would then be just as effective as fiberglass only more expensive and happy late B-Day

Hehe lol, niether have I, silver subscription suckss! :(

I have the money ready for the fibreglass and Halfords is just down the road from me, so I'm guessing this weekend I'll hitch a lift from my grandad and pick some up (well he will because they don't sell resin and fibreglass to people under 18 methinks *Very sadfaceee*)

I think it's something like that, maybe because of the toxic fumes or something

Do any of you guys know how I should fibreglass the helmet with the supports in? Won't it be a bit tricky to get to all the inner creases in the helmet with all the support struts in?

i would recomend resining the outside take the struts out and then resin the inside followed by the FG

Ahh okay, so would applying resin to the outside keep it strong enough to stop it from warping while I fibreglassed the inside?
