Freehand foam spartan build

Hey dudes, long time no posts. Have recently modified my original Custom REACH foam build ( http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/32902-Full-custom-REACH-build-FREE-HAND-NO-PEP/page16 )for a upcoming convention here in New Zealand.

Here is a picture of the original build along with some reference images i was using as a basis for the mods

getting started

So as usual I started with a few basic stencils and my craft knife. Started by creating the face plate and then making a temporary back to get the scale right.

Visor and lights install. Really cheap way to make a visor tint = buy a $2.00 roll of cellophane and layer about 20 times. GENIUS!!!

Hey, I saw you at Armageddon as well (I was the guy in the ODST armour). Just one thing - What's the visibility like through that visor?

both of you need to come down to Welly next year. Blackout, some pics on your thread please. As for visabilty, he looked as if he could see out of it. No bumping into people.

Interesting, never saw anyone do a foam build of a helmet. I usually see castings of helmets. I'll consider your method when building.

Yeah man my Recon helmet and this one are both foam, its really easy
