Hey thanks guys, hopefully it will warm up a little this week and i can make my mother mold for it

Ok so it warmed up just a little and i was able to put some glass on the helm, when it hardens up im gonna demold and make a plaster rough cast to start the final smoothing

Ok! update, i went ahead and molded it out of plastic, now im smoothing everything ...dust dust lol

lol yea the pic makes them look huge , but there not to long, I used the model4hobby for reference so they are longer than the show

Its still a cool helmet. I guess its your own take on the helmet which I probably respect more than making it screen accurate. I've been to rangerboard and its sickening how everything has to be perfect.



Can't wait to see how it looks painted.

Ok , been awhile, this kinda got put on the back burner but thanks to easter break i might finish this bad boy! Base coat jus finished drying , so id say im 3/4 done, anyway enjoy

Green Ranger?! Awesome, though I think the mouth looks a bit funny and the fins on the sides do too. But overall its still awesome. You going to make it a 2 piece helm? If you do I would like to see how you go about doing that, because I'm not sure how thats done myself and I'm planning to eventually make a Shinkenger helmet.

I read the whole thread before I posted, didnt see anything about making it 2 piece or not. :lol Anyways if its going to be one piece you might have trouble putting it on without modding the bottom, unless its going to end up just being a display piece. You dont really have to add clips, those were only for the stunt helmets. The hero helmets for a lot of the close shots when they were not fighting didnt have clips. I'll keep my eye on this progress, its looking great so far.

the bottom is modded, but yea its prob gonna end up on a shelf lol, unless i do a gr cosplay...thats unlikley lol thanks for the compliments

got some paint done, not sure what im gonna do for a visor just yet

Nice! Paint is looking great, but theres one thing that sticks out like a sore thumb to me. The teeth around the visor are black and white and should be white and silver. I grew up with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers so :lol

what type of clay are your using?

not sure of the brand , its just a premium oil clay from hobbylobby
