Halo 2 Without Xbox Live!

Got an ethernet cable that you can hook up to your old Xbox or just don't have Xbox Live on your Xbox 360? Want to go a little back in time? Well here's how:

Go to http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/ ..... Go sign up and download the Xlink Kai. Hook up your ethernet cable to your modem or to whatever you use for your internet to your Xbox/360. Open up Xlink>(Click on the Globe on the top) Go to Xbox games then>FPS(First Person Shooter)>> and go to Halo 2. Then join an arena....(I have one setup "right" now) when you get to your Xbox go to "System Link" And there should be games when joining/creating (If you have problems go to the FAQ or Troubleshooting. Thorough? GAME ON

I always used X-link when I wanted to test a mod online or something. I didn't have LIVE or a 360 back then.

strange. iv never had live and i can play both CE and halo 2 on my 360. a few other too, any one have any ideas why?

uhh you can play them on your 360.. do you mean without the update to allow it.. is that the question? Or are you asking how it is that you play online without Xbox live?

The 360 came with an emulator to handle Halo 1 and Halo 2, preinstalled on the harddrive.

The 360 also comes with a free "silver membership account" (in most areas) that allows you to use a limited version of Xbox live. (no ranked games)

Yes I remember this, or an application like it anyways... sadly it is prone to a lot of lag and poor service.
I can't remember the program I used but it did the same thing you're talking about.
