Relatively new to the concept of papercraft, ( I have done it once or twice before ). I am planning to build a Halo 3 ODST suit of armour and am printing some stuff for it on card tomorrow. I wanted to show you what I had in mind for under armour. The Halo 3 ODST suit is modular - so it is made up of quite a few small parts eg. Chestplate, 2xside plates, stomach plate, back plate, lower back plate, shoulder straps, etc. So it got me thinking, how am I going to make sure all of this stays on me and doesn't move, whilst being comfortable? The answer? A MOLLE tactical vest - pictured below. This will all me to attach the armour pieces to the vest so they are in place and do not move, whilst providing a decent amount of comfort from the vest. This will also mean that to put on a lot of the armour, you just need to put on the vest - making it very convenient. Another pro of using this vest is that around the bottom, it has supports for a military style belt - which the belt buckle for the ODST armour can attach to, and useful things such as water bottles or knives to complete the look.
I think this idea is good as it can be applied to many different builds - especially Halo related builds as it is in keeping with the military look and adds functionality.
