i know they were gonna film in nz cus thats where peter jackson did the lord of the rings stuff but why dont we get a director that actually likes the game and maybe if were lucky has played it cus producers that have just heard of stuff and want to do it will totally jack it up and why dont they get legendary armor to do all the costumes they have the ar and the helmet pretty much done and then they could get paid to make the rest of the cheifs armor and maybe some ODST oh ya if you want to see a sweet realistic looking halo movie get on xbox live marketplace and look up Halo:LANDFALL its got sweet ODST guys check it out

They better make the movie because the already have all of the costumes and props built. The warthog and mongoose have already been built as well and are pretty sweet.

The reason it was going to be filmed here, is actually because our government gives foreign film companies massive tax breaks, that along side our comparative low wage, and non-union workers available to work on productions makes NZ a quite attractive place for film makers. They call us "mexicans with cell phones"....

there's no way they'll let a "second rate" team do halo. Why do you think PJ is on the project? Also, they didn't want Blomkamp to do the movie as he's never done a feature film before.

They my not have ALL the costumes just what you need to do for TEST SHOOTS. I have worked on some films that never get full financing and go by the wayside. In is part of the biz. Look to the writhers if the script is bad NO one could save it, Halo fan or not.
Look at Firefly the fans made it happen. If the HALO fan base got behind the film WE could have it.

I don't expect any Halo Movie at least until 2010 or 2011. Fox Studios pulled out, then Universal pulled out, then if I'm correct they looked to Touchstone but were turned down. The closest thing to a Halo movie is most likely the games Peter Jackson is making.
Peter Jackson is a Huge Halo fan supposedly and he is making 3-4 cinematic games. I hear its has some playable content, but it is mostly a movie. So hope for the best from him.

And Neill Blomkamp did Halo: Landfall, and Peter Jackson actually picked Blomkamp if I recall, but obviously hes still supervising/being the main guy on it.

Yeah the movie is a very difficult topic right now. One absolutely terrible thing that I heard from my cousin (a media guru-teen) that Master Chief won't be the main character because of his apparent lack of emotions. He said that they were going to have to make him more of a plot catalyst (which I think is bull-pucky).
Anywho it's all insane and crazy, and personally I think that if we all put on our armor and marched up to a studio we could get SOMETHING going...like a penny fund for PJ
